The Nordic Cross Country Championships 2005
November 12th, Hamina, Finland

The Nordic Cross Country Championships (NCCC) 2005 will be raced in Hamina, Finland. The competition is hosted by sports club Vehkalahden Veikot. The competition starts at 11.00 in Ruissalo sports centre.
NCCC is a combined team and individual competition, where the official participating countries are Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.

The competition arrangements will be carried out totally by voluntary work, which means over 50 people working for a championships organisation. Town manager Hannu Muhonen has committed himself to be a benefactor of the championships.

The Ruissalo sports centre is known also as an arena for Finnish Cross country championships in year 2001. The coming competition differs from that not only by it’s internationality but also by the season at hand. The organisation has prepared itself for challenging weather conditions, while it is not uncommon to have some snow on the ground in November. The organising committee welcomes beautiful weather, but is well prepared also for harsh weather conditions.
